We collaborated with Bruntwood for a professional networking event held in Manchester on June 13, 2025.

SciTech is the UK's leading property provider to the science and tech sector. We provide flexible, affordable office, lab, events space and business support as standard. The event was hosted at the Citylabs Campus – Bruntwood SciTech and brought together professionals for meaningful discussions and community building

Amazon Web Services

AfroSocial partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host a tech event focused on Generative AI and productivity tools. The event took place in Manchester on November 27, 2024.

What the Event Covered?

  • The workshop explored how Generative AI on AWS can boost productivity while maintaining data privacy.

  • Attendees got hands-on experience with Amazon Q Business, a tool that helps securely generate content, summarize information, and answer domain-specific questions.

  • The event was designed for tech newcomers and professionals alike, offering networking opportunities and direct engagement with AWS technologists.

“AFROSOCIAL” is growing black creative and professional community. Despite the UK’s black population being around two million, there are not many spaces where black professionals can meet and collaborate.

We provide a platform for black professionals in the Manchester, London, Leeds and Birmingham to socialise, grow and form friendships!

We organise events in the city where professionals from various professions and backgrounds can meet. These range from social events to more formal networking events with speakers from specific sectors. We believe in building meaningful connections and aiding our community to develop personally.
